Coca-Cola

The Snowball
Effect

Concept and art direction.

The project

Coke and 7-Eleven wanted a relevant way to bring young adults into Coca-Cola’s Arctic Home initiative to help protect polar bears and their habitat.

Coca-Cola and 7-Eleven turned a social media snowball fight game into a 20% sales lift and $700,000 for polar bear conservation.

We created Snowball Effect, a Facebook-connected mobile game that turned awareness into action: fans challenged friends to virtual snowball fights, all designed to drive participation and sharing through a behavior people already loved (mobile play + social competition).

The more people played, the more they learned about the cause and spread the word: 50,000 snowball fights and 6.5 million friends reached in nine weeks, a 20% lift in Coca-Cola sales at 7-Eleven, and $700,000 for Arctic Home.
