Coca-Cola + WWF
Coca-Cola
Arctic Home
Art direction.
The project
Arctic Home was a partnership between Coca-Cola and WWF to help protect polar bear habitat in the Arctic. For the first time ever, Coca-Cola turned its iconic red cans Arctic white, featuring a mother bear and cubs on-pack across more than 1.4 billion cans to spark awareness and action. Fans could donate by texting a package code to give $1, with Coca-Cola matching donations up to $1 million, alongside an initial $2 million contribution and a total commitment of up to $3 million.
For the first time in its history, Coca-Cola turned its red can white. 1.4 billion cans, one message: help protect the polar bears’ Arctic home.
The effort was positioned as the largest integrated marketing campaign Coca-Cola had ever undertaken, spanning film-led storytelling, including IMAX “To the Arctic” footage used across content and commercials, plus retail, digital, and social engagement through ArcticHome.com.
More than $2M went to WWF in the first year, and Coca-Cola called it its most successful holiday campaign to date.
