The project
Fifth Third Bank partnered with Stand Up To Cancer and the Cincinnati Bengals to help fund breakthrough cancer research. Through a qualifying checking account promotion, Fifth Third donated $150 to SU2C for each new account opened.
To bring the message to life in a human way, we surprised a dedicated Bengals fan who was also fighting cancer with a behind-the-scenes stadium tour. Midway through, he opened the locker room doors and was met by Coach Marvin Lewis and players, who delivered an emotional, team-style pep talk about showing up, fighting through adversity, and not being alone in the battle.
