The project
To promote WarioWare: D.I.Y. at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on a limited budget, we turned a simple handout into something gamers actually want to keep.
Knowing hardcore players love collectibles, we designed a flyer that folded into a limited-edition papercraft Wario figure. It matched the product perfectly since the game is all about making your own games, and the piece quickly earned pickup from major gaming outlets and even became a collectible that shows up on resale sites.
