People don’t like to wait, especially when they’re banking. So to promote Fifth Third’s fast mobile banking experience to heavy mobile users, we leaned into the most native mobile behavior of all: texting.

We created TXT vs TXT, an HTML5, mobile-first texting game that challenged players to type out phrases as quickly and accurately as possible. The experience was built specifically for phones, with modes that let users play solo or head-to-head, and social hooks that encouraged sharing and challenging friends.

The game lived at TXTvsTXT.com and reinforced a simple message from the first screen: if you think you’re fast at texting, Fifth Third’s mobile banking app is even faster.
